Moreover, The Annapurna Himalayas are one of the most iconic landmarks in Nepal. South of these mountains offer exciting adventures, including the rapid Annapurna or quickest Base Camp Trek, which bypasses Ghorepani but still showcases cultural and natural beauty.

From the mystical city of Pokhara, the total trekking distance is roughly 70 kilometers, excluding driving segments. Trekkers immerses in lush landscapes, passing through rhododendron and oak forests, highlighting the grandeur of the Annapurna massif.

Mount Annapurna I, the eighth tallest peak on earth, is one of the world’s most magnificent mountains. Express trek to base camp takes you through Gurung ethnic villages, where you will be greeted with warm hospitality. Booking with us includes base camp trekking route map, helping you plan and mark the mountains and their exact heights.

Our hike to ABC is particularly fascinating in spring when the trail is adorned with red, pink, and white rhododendron blossoms. Rapidly hiking to the base camp, reaching an altitude of 13,518 feet in four days, increases the risk of altitude mountain sickness (AMS) therefore, the trek difficulty is moderate. Despite that, this short and popular Annapurna express trek is ideal for beginners and possible to conclude at any time throughout the year.

During these seasons, the weather is generally dry and stable, with clear skies and good visibility, making it ideal for hiking and trekking. Temperatures are also moderate, with warm days and cool nights, which makes for comfortable hiking conditions.

In contrast, the monsoon season (June to August) can bring heavy rain, landslides, and leeches on the trails, which can make hiking difficult and even dangerous. The winter season (December to February) brings cold temperatures, snowfall, and icy trails, which can also be challenging for hikers.

Great tour to Anapurna Base Camp region

December 30, 2019

I started planing my trek to ABC well in advance, around September 2018, thinking to continue towards Mustang area after coming down from the ABC trek.

Amar Raj was very helpful during the preparation stage of the trek, suggesting from the beginning that my travel dates (mid March to Early April), were not optimal for getting to ABC. Closer to my travel, and knowing snow conditions close to ABC Amar Raj suggested that I change my plans to Mardi Himal trek.

Upon my arrival to Kathmandu, Ammar invited me to spend the night at a guest room in his house, allowing me a glimpse at the daily life of Nepali people. I had a great evening having supper with his family, learning about life in Nepal.

My trek guide/porter was Lila Bahadur Tamang. Speaking good English, he was able to explain me many aspects of sights we saw during the hike. He was very supportive, had great knowledge of the trails, and very accommodating to changes in the hike plan. I eventually decided to try going to the ABC, even knowing that it may not be possible to get to the camp itself. We got to Hinku cave and decided it may not be safe enough to continue.

Again I wish to thank Amar Raj, his team and my Guide Lila for a great vacation.
